This is a general command to change one of your parameters.

Use 'change <parameter>', where <parameter> is one of the following:

Parameter	Description
ALERTNESS	changes how much attention you pay to hidden people
ANSIFILTER	turns removal of special characters in whoises on and off
CHARSET	selects which character set your terminal supports
CLASS	changes your class
COLOUR	highlights certain text in color to make it more noticeable
DESCRIPTION	changes the description others see when they look at you
EDITOR	selects your editor for writing text
EQORDER	customise equipment display order
HEIGHT	sets the number of lines before a page break for PAGER
HTML	toggle to use the WWW-connection (disabled)
LANGUAGE	selects another language to speak*
LINKDROP	determines your connection's inactivity timeout
MOOD	changes how bravely you act when fighting
PAGER	selects how you want long texts to be displayed
PASSWORD	changes your password
SPELLCASTING	sets/shows default spellcasting effort
TITLE	changes your title (only for heros and above); 'change title none' removes the title**
WHOIS	changes the text people see when they use whois on you
WIDTH	set screen width for output
WIMPY	lets you flee automatically when wounded
WORDWRAP	toggles if you want long lines to word wrap
XML	toggles XML-output on/off

• Remember to use one of the "standard languages" (whiteside: Westron) if you want to be understood by all players when using the Forgotten Tales (also known as narrating).

• Note that you can not change your title while suffering Mandos Sleep.
